Laura Flórez is mechanical engineer, currently a PhD candidate and has been working as technical redactor for the plastics industry since 2003. She obtained her Bachelor and master degrees in mechanical engineering in the University of Los Andes, in Bogota, Colombia, and since 2002 has worked as chief editor and associate editor of the magazines “Tecnologia del Plastico” and “Plastics Engineering”. In 2005 she started her PhD research at the IKV, Institute of Plastics Processing, in Aachen, Germany.
